St Therese of Lisieux (03)

This image places St. Thérèse of Lisieux, OCD, in an ornate oval frame filled with swirling acanthus leaves. Her hands cradle both the crucifix and a bouquet of roses, symbols of her spiritual mission to ‘let fall a shower of roses’ after her death. Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, the Little Flower of Jesus, the Little Flower, and la petite Thérèse is shown in her Carmelite habit with a rosary, highlighting her vocation as a Discalced Carmelite.
