Where It All Began
I grew up in Miami, the son of immigrant parents and a cradle Catholic. Like many, I went to public school and loved my faith—but didn’t know it very well. That all changed in college when I joined an evangelical Bible study group. They accepted all denominations but one. As a Catholic, they challenged everything I believed. Week after week, I was told the Catholic Church was wrong… and I didn’t have the answers.
After being turned away by that group, I made myself a promise: I would truly learn my faith. I would study it, seek to understand it, and make it my own. That promise grew into a lifelong love of the Mass—and eventually led me to write the book Mass Explained.
More than thirty years later, the fire hasn’t gone out.
Faith + Art
Today, I’m a husband, father, and professional designer. By day, I design for a major cruise line; by vocation, I serve the Church and those on the front lines of catechesis.
These Catholic crafts and coloring sheets started at home, around the kitchen table, for my own children. They combine my two greatest loves: faith and art. Creating them brings me joy—and knowing they’re helping others like you makes that joy even greater.
