The Resurrection of Christ (10)

This powerful Resurrection image illustrates Matthew 28:2–4, where an angel rolls away the stone and the guards are struck with fear, becoming “like dead men.” Here, however, we see the Risen Christ Himself emerging triumphantly from the empty tomb, arms lifted in victory. The radiant halo around His head signifies His divine glory, while His serene yet authoritative posture proclaims the fulfillment of God’s promise. At His feet, Roman soldiers slump in sleep or stunned disbelief, their swords and shields lying useless—symbolizing the futility of human power against the victory of God. The rocky entrance and clouds above frame the moment as heaven and earth bear witness to His triumph.
