In the Tenth Station, Jesus is stripped of His garments by Roman soldiers, enduring humiliation before His crucifixion. The Stations of the Cross originated during the Crusades when pilgrims retraced Christ’s steps through Jerusalem. As travel became dangerous, faithful Christians reproduced these sacred journeys in Europe with outdoor markers. By the 18th century, Stations were placed inside churches, offering a spiritual pilgrimage through Christ’s Passion.
