In the Eighth Station, Jesus meets the women of Jerusalem who are weeping for Him as He offers them words of compassion. The Stations of the Cross originated during the Crusades when pilgrims retraced Christ’s steps through Jerusalem. As travel became dangerous, faithful Christians reproduced these sacred journeys in Europe with outdoor markers. By the 18th century, Stations were placed inside churches, offering a spiritual pilgrimage through Christ’s Passion. This coloring page is part of that long-standing tradition, helping the faithful reflect on Jesus’ suffering and love.
